Filmmaker, Marc Huestis is co-founder of the San Francisco Lesbian and Gay Film Festival.

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO SUSAN JANE (1982)
A spoof of underground San Francisco, circa 1980
   
CHUCK SOLOMON: COMING OF AGE (1986)
Aa loving profile of a local theatre director, and his strength to deal with AIDS
   

SEX IS (1993)
A wildly successful film exploring the meaning of sex and sexuality within the lives of gay men. Winner of the Audience Favorite Teddy Award at the 1993 Berlin International Film Festival, SEX IS... showed commercially in over 50 US cities, and internationally in Germany, Canada and Australia. It was amongst the highest grossing docs of the 1990's according to Variety.

   

In 2002, Huestis was given the Frameline Award for accomplishment. Huestis is now currently incarnate as the Castro Theatre impresario, producing such events as:
